Day #186 12/12/11: There was the phone, then a beeper, then a smart phone, and eventually…

There might be nothing else to invent. A very cool day where I spent my day thinking of the week ahead and I also finished my Curt Flood book which got more interesting as it came to a close. I find it interesting that he was a very sound man but he also had his share of problems and mishaps. Depending on perspective, Flood was a man of integrity, warmth, and moodiness. But, when it comes down to it he spent his money, gave his money to the wrong people, and he also challenged baseball on a system that doesn’t exist anymore. He didn’t want to be owned by baseball and rightfully so he gave baseball a peace of mind as he wanted the right to negotiate with any team. 40 years ago that would have been crazy talk but the way Flood put it gave it some sort of semblance as teams no longer own you nor your contract after it expires. Back then, it was possible for teams just to renew your contract right away but now they have the option to see if they want to keep you and otherwise you can negotiate with any team you want. A great book about a system that I had no idea would be so detailed yet so interesting in so many realms.

Day #185 12/11/11: See it and I believe it…

A very compelling day where I took my poodle for her annual vaccines for her health and even though it is pricey I enjoy the fact that she is healthy and willing and able to be active in her life. I took her for her shots but then I was late for work by about 20 minutes and even though I was late it didn’t matter because I still got my work done that day and I even had some fun that day talking to a good co-worker of mine who kicked major ass trying to help me out. King of Prussia is a very cool name for a city that exists in Pennsylvania and it is actually something that I couldn’t believe until I looked it up.

Day #184 12/10/11: When Steve meets Bob…

A picture taken of one of my favorite joints where almost two years ago my buddy and I engaged in a great conversation about work, politics, love, sports, and many other topics. I think back to this day and I realize that it was a day where I started believing in myself as a person and as a friend and though things aren’t perfect in my life you should always strive for your best. The day was interesting as I came for my prescribed medicine and afterwards had some lunch with my dad as we talked about some stuff that happened the other day. Work was intense and welcoming as the departing member of our department had some strange moments and almost inside joke moments as well. My buddy also suggested that he should call me Bob and I will call him Steve which would make for very humorous situations so great day needless to say.

Day #183 12/9/11: Light(s) Mystery Theater 3000…

A morning started where me and my dad finished our decorations outside but it was highlighted by the fact that our lights wouldn’t work. No matter how many 3 prongs, extensions, and cords we got in there, it didn’t work. The third time it finally worked when my dad found an extension that did work and I was so happy that it worked due to us working together on a somewhat sunny day. After this, I headed to work and had some nice conversations with a buddy of mine as we talked about Christmas and some recent changed that have been happening without work area. We also talked video games and he seemed very into the conversations as did I as I seemed very intrigued by what he had to say. We ended the night by having a huge milk spill as we both cleaned up a very nasty spill. (“Magnetic towards dropping” author’s note: When my good friend suggested I start doing this project 365 I thought it would be dumb and unnecessary for someone like me to do it but in fact it has helped me find a way to enhance life and record a journal, a personal history of sorts. I want to take this time to thank everyone who has been involved in this process and hopefully I will finish this project because by my account it has been a great device for communication.)

Day #182 12/8/11: It’s mine Tuyo…

A quick recap of the day:

Had a very quick and easy day at work filled with weird events and more questions than answers.

Continued to find a way to decorate inside and outside our house for the holiday.

Had some family time which was needed by the cusp that my niece kept telling me that “It’s mine” and she follows that with tuyo which is meaning “Tio” I’m assuming.

and ended the night watching some wrestling.

Day #181 12/7/11: Necessary Roughness…

A picture of a pool at Washington park where a few us every summer would ‘horse play’ or wrestle in there and sometimes we would get caught and other times we wouldn’t. Before taking this picture, I finally signed up for my classes at Mission and it is going to be very convenient in my eyes having one class Monday, Wednesday and another Tuesday,Thursday while one will be online. After looking at my total, which exceeded anything I’ve ever paid for in education, I said it is all for the better and paid it. After that, I went to my brother’s house for an afternoon at the park with his daughter, my dog and myself. The rest of the day I watched a little more of some Wonder Years and myself and my mom started our Christmas decorations.

Day #180 12/6/11: I go there then I go again…

A picture taken after my mom’s doctor’s appointment and a day where I finally got my registration for Mission College which I did the day after. I also hung out with my brother at home while we watched “The Bottom Line” dvd on Steve Austin which was a great insight into his rise, fall, and then rise again. I realized while watching it that wrestling characters are just bigger versions of themselves which is why they must have so much fun out there. At home, we had a visit from my dad’s cousin who has happened to be here to work and she hasn’t changed much from the last time I saw her which was almost 6 years ago. I let her and my mom talk while my brother and I chatted about the dvd and some pizza we had picked up at a local joint. What a day indeed!

Day #179 12/5/11: My new home…

In a few short 48 hours after this, I will hopefully be able to register for classes as I saw that the classes that I want are still open and if not I can still be waitlisted. Anyway, the rest of the day I watched Quiz Show which is fascinating movie into the world of shows like this. A good day where I learned there will be another departure from the Big Red Machine and he saw his way out due to some circumstances that have been hit upon the area where we work. A great nonetheless involving me and some really good food.
