Day #198 12/24/11: Gotta find some beauty in it…

A day that was kind of better than the previous day as the Raiders gave me the X-mas present of winning a game and lucking out to still stay in the playoff hunt. At work, I felt much better because I had some funny moments with some of my co-workers as my buddy complained about some issues we are having in our work center but I just kept trying to say something funny to keep the mood light. It was a very uneventful night at work but once I got to my aunt’s house all the fun started as we went into the next day opening presents and trying to be a family with everyone almost there.

Day #196 12/22/11: Wingstop… I do miss you sometimes

A picture taken of one of the many places I would go when my patience and discipline were tested many months ago and a day where the craziness almost died down at the Big Red Machine. I took this picture to remind me I am a person that is willing to branch out and go have fun but I also enjoy down time which especially hits some of us when festivities come around. I like to relax when there are gifts being opened and a new year comes around and I say to myself “It’s time to start again”.

Day #195 12/21/11: This is the time…

I finally bought this Toronto Blue Jays that I wanted a couple days before X-mas. My goal is to collect either T-shirts or hats from every MLB team except the AL West teams, the Yankees and Red Sox, and my least favorite team in all of professional sports the San Francisco Giants. I started and finished my shopping for my parents and some other family members. I usually hate doing this but this day it was fun as I saw the lovely chaos at Kohl’s, Forever 21, Lids, and a few other places at the Great Mall in Milpitas. I finished the night by taking a much needed beauty sleep from all the walking around me and my mom did, (almost four rounds around the mall and it was over).

Day #194 12/20/11: And they said history doesn’t lie…

A wonderful day where I went for a haircut and also went to pick up a CD by the Mama’s and the Papa’s at the local Library who are pretty cool to listen to if you are into stories and love. My mom and I also went to a furniture store where we looked at some potential sofas that we may pick up but otherwise a relaxing day at home. At the end of the night my niece kept asking for the jumper and we had to tell her it went away. I also ended the night by going to the gym later on.

Day #191 12/17/11: Analyze that…

A picture taken of my niece’s jumper which was an otherwise fantastic day and night as there was a lot of alcohol drank and food eaten. The day started with my mom doing some Christmas shopping as well as I buying a shirt for myself and my niece’s birthday present. I also took my dog for her 3rd haircut of the year and as she was getting her haircut my mom and I went shopping which was crazy busy at Vallco Mall and Toys R Us. After picking up my dog, we got ready for my niece’s birthday party as everything was set up but we needed to get the food to our house which was a big challenge. Pozole, as it is called among Latinos, is a very good dish but bringing it somewhere is a very challenging effort. My brother got to our house around 3 and we had to go back to grab the big pot of pozole at his home which had me cringing every step of the way. As luck would have it, my brother spilled some on his pants and it got all over his girlfriend’s passenger seat. Doing this, it reminded me that doing this stuff is what makes memories and I will never forget the trip we took from Mary Ave. all the way to Duane Ave. and the nervousness we both had as I drove and he held that big pot. Once there, my brother sat outside while we chatted for a bit and meanwhile our buddies arrived. I talked to them about school and some music that I had stumbled upon recently while my brother got more wasted on his daughter’s birthday. Our buddies didn’t get as drunk but I still managed to have a good time talking to them. The traditional cake and pinata followed while my niece went crazy for her cake and pinata. She called for me to come play with her in the jumper and we jumped around for a good 10 minutes twice and after that I knew it was a great night for her. I had fun and so did she so otherwise a great night while I analyzed everyone around me that I stumbled across.

Day #190 12/16/11: Where’s my donkiiiy Bob?…

A great day highlighted by the awareness that my buddy and I at work started making fun of one our co-workers who always has those moments of intelligence but weirdness to them. I told him to imagine him in a pancho, a big mustache, and a big rifle to accompany his look that he always has to him. We laughed about this for a good hour at work as he drew this great sketch that I wish I had taken a picture of because it was very creative and funny. It had a caption that read where’s my donkiiiy Bob? and I laughed about it for a good hour before we got back to the tasks at hand and boy did we as it was busy and well worth the day we had. Otherwise, I took this picture of this thing named Roku which plays TV from our phone and boy how far technology and people have come in the last ten years.

Day #189 12/15/11: Perspective…

A picture of a tape during my lunch where I had some time basically thinking of my future at my job and if I wanted to be there if my boss was going to state that everyone on our team were stated as under performing which I don’t believe is true. My buddy was a victim as he was ripped for talking too much and I started toning down my talking as well which is very difficult to do if we can’t talk then why go to work. After an otherwise vacationing day at the Big Red Machine, I went home to spend time with the family and watched some wrestling by myself as my brother prepared for his daughter’s birthday and we went around looking for things to make it better.
