Day #138 10/25/11: Who’s da man…

Not a very eventful day other than a little r&r after a long day the day before where I practically went from point A to point B and I spent some time at the library looking for some books. It was also strange to see that the world series was coming to a close. It was strange because the world series was a pretty good event and it was almost a year since me and buddy had gone to San Francisco and had gone to see the Giants and Rangers start it. The night ended when I went to the gym and exhausted myself.

Day #137 10/24/11: Retroactive…

I remember this day I had to drive back and forth between my job vicinity and home twice which was a drag because of the fact that the night before I didn’t go to sleep till 3 and I woke up at 8 in the morning.  The reason for this was because my mom had gotten hurt at work and I had to go take her to see a specialist who deals with work related injuries and we waited for almost 2 hours. After all the waiting and observation, I treated my mom out to some Subway which I had been boycotting but I said to myself, it was the cheapest option.Once I got home, I watched the movie Bowfinger which was hilarious for all the content it contained and the play it had on Hollywood. At work, it was a completely different story as my friend at work explained all the new procedures that were present and it seems impossible. I feel at this point it is more of a fruitless endeavor that has no solution either way. Once that got over and done with, it was back to business as usual as me and my buddy Silvia had a fun close just laughing and having fun jabbing back and forth. It was a fun night that reminded me of the old nights where we would be struggling to finish but we still had fun.

Day #136 10/23/11: Just win baby…

Pretty crazy day at work and at home as the Raiders ended up losing to the K.C. Chiefs 28-0 and the way my fantasy football was getting there ass handed to them made me think…a little music is always the best therapy. At work, the business of the big red machine boomed as it was the first day of our ad and people bought crazy amounts of food. Nothing much to the day except I noticed that people in any job end up choosing sides one way or another.

Day #135 10/22/11: Como se dice Torta?…

A fun little day full of surprises as I ended up buying some Panda Express and I also ended up cashing some money from Big Red. I also continued reading my Algebra book which had some refreshing stuff in there as it covered ellipses and I just now got into Logs. When I got to work, I started working and hustling knowing there was no end in sight as I had my share of jokes and laughs but I knew once it was all said and done I would have to work extremely hard in order to do what I wanted. I also shared a story with a co-worker about a French teacher we both had as she was completely dumb in some respects. She told me she called her up to the front one day and insulted her test score in front of the entire class which shocked me. She went onto to say that she almost got fired because of that but knowing the teacher system nothing was done. I had a good time chatting with a co-worker about some words he could say in spanish and I told him that if he wants to throw someone off he should tell the person to go make them a sandwich which had me laughing for a while. The picture taken reminded me of this one time I got money stuck in an ATM and after many days I couldn’t hear the rest of the crap that my former friend gave me so I just told him, “shit like that happens”.

Day #134 10/21/11: Higher learning…

The book I’m reading right now to bring back my math knowledge and a good majority of it looks familiar but some of it is like I forgot how to do it. This day my dad had to go all the way to where I work because my mom had a bit of an injury on the job as she slipped on the job. Her foot is hurting but she is getting better as she told me not too long ago. After we dealt with this situation, I went  to my actual job and had a fun close with my old pal as we jabbed at some stuff that we had not revisited in some time. For example, we brought up some old jokes which I had not heard and we just had a fun time talking about stuff other people would not find funny at all. I found it funny that I also saw an old pal in Walt as we discussed some recent news and what he was up to at that point. Otherwise, not much of an eventful day other than the fact that Carson Palmer will not be starting against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Day #132 10/19/11: Never again…

A lot of great memories here as this was taken in the parking lot of the Sunnyvale Public library as I took this after I went to my brother’s house. After I got home, I read my math book a little bit more and I finally was able to log into MYSJSU which took a good 6 business days. I’m hoping I am able to get into here or CSU East bay as I only have 5 more classes to finish which shouldn’t be hard but they aren’t easy either so I’m getting myself ready for this next year which is going to be intense. I took this picture to remind that I will never go back here again as I went many times when I was younger and they never will return but it is good to be reminded of all those great times. I also went to take a walk from Tasman all the way to Santa Clara as my mom had a dentist appointment going on at the time which is good for my health anytime. Otherwise, a short day that went by fast.

Day #131 10/18/11: If there was ever a buddy comedy to be made…

Quick recap of the day:

Went with my mom to the DMV in Los Gatos where she finally passed her permit test and she has a year to do her driving test which I am hopeful she will pass

Went to Safeway with my dad where he was up to his usual antics as he was asking questions and getting lost at the store

Ended up taking these two pictures to emphasis what kind of a funny day it was

Went to the gym and worked out pretty hard

Counted coins with my dad

Day #130 10/17/11: Bizzaro World…

A picture I took after me and my buddy had pumpkin pie at Mcdonalds and some lovely wraps at a place named Rojoz. This morning me and buddy had the opportunity to see the film Moneyball which gave both of us a little more insight into what baseball is and how the Oakland A’s won 20 games in a row. The way the conflict was set up was that Billy Beane, played brilliantly by Brad Pitt, was going up against old philosophies and the old ways that the scouts were seeing it. He also had to contend against what analysts told him and as well as the manager Art Howe who had a different way of seeing things as he had a strong disagreement which otherwise added a bit more of drama to the film. I enjoyed the movie and I think other people have as well. After we got all the great stuff and experiences that have happened to us over the week, I went to work expecting a positive energy and a great vibe which I got none of. It was a strange vibe and an even stranger demeanor as I sensed a bit of tension between management and other people as well. I don’t know how to describe it but a great man once told my pal at work that once they see what’s going on they will start changing it from the top down. Otherwise, a day where I didn’t even sweat it and went home after a long day away from home.
