Day #51 7/29/11: The beauty of a sunset…

You ever wonder how a day can go and you have one of those WCW retro days where one of many potential bosses at your job asks you dumb questions? Well, that’s what happened here when a potential boss asked me a bunch of questions I knew the answer to and she already knew the answer to them anyway as I was lucky to get off work and head off to the gym at 8. I was done by 9:30 and relaxed at home by watching 17 again and also WWE Smackdown. This is one of my favorite pictures so far with project 365 and I am proud to have gotten this far in the process. Let’s continue the streak! Great day where I also spilled Jose Cuervo Margarita mix and people passing by loved it.

Day #50 7/28/11: This means war…

Sometimes you just have those days where they are chaotic and you think back to the greatness and you wish you could just do it 10x better the next time. I started the day by taking my dog on this trail near my house which was very far and I also felt very tired by the end of it. But then my brother started the day by asking me to take his rental car back and by luck I just happened to not have my IPOD Touch or my phone as I thought my brother already remembered where we were going. He also wanted to get his car back and that took a while as well. I was happy for him but it was frustrating to see him ignore the fact that we could have gone back and gotten the directions just seconds after we had left and he said no. They charged us an extra amount of money for having me on as a driver and my brother got even more upset. I got home and just got ready for work and I thought this would be a perfect picture for the day to portray how Antonio Aguilar fought in wars in movies and even I fought my war at home with my brother’s stubbornness but after that I just enjoyed my day at work.

Day #49 7/27/11: Be a man…

The day was a drama, comedy, adventure, dark tone, fun filled conversation, and heck even some questioning took place. This day felt different as I could see that my dog was getting better so I decided that Ricky and me hanging out wouldn’t be such a bad idea as we had planned on doing so the monday before. At first it was cool, get basic stuff out of the way but then we started talking about what does it mean to be a man? We got many answers out there and it jumped all the way even to include my own family members as well. We also talked about some music discussions out there including why listen to music that talks about getting drunk in Mexico and also my near fascination with the idea of culture and identity. We had a lot to say but his story about the Asian American and an American gave me a different viewpoint on things. I can say that this day gave me perspective on what it means to have discussions which actually impact people and it was very stimulating as well to hear out someone else’s problem as well. I also got into contact with an old friend which for me had not changed one bit since the last time we had spoken. I also took this to remember one of our old meeting places at this time last year.

We went to:

Coleman, where a good portion of the day was

Borders, bought two books too where we were having the time of our lives (I was anyway asking Ricky questions on personality which were beyond belief such as “do you enjoy underwater sports”? which really doesn’t seem like a personality question)

and starbucks to discuss a potential writing of a book

I also saw my aunt Irma for the first time in a month almost as I hardly see her anymore as she is leaving for Mexico soon and I bid her farewell. I also saw that my dog seemed a bit more healthier as well as she seemed much more relaxed and upbeat. So great day by all accounts.

Day #48 7/26/11: The road takes you places…

The day was awesome as I ended up taking care of my dog as she seems a bit sore on the neck part. My brother and I ended up watching a roundtable on the legendary wrestling faction the NWO. I sat with my brother discussing some news in the wrestling world and we also talked some other stuff as well. Sitting there, I realized that my brother has some great fortunes ahead of him and he doesn’t take advantage of them but that’s him. After that, and his daughter going crazy in the house, we parted as I had some stuff to take care of and I went to pick up my mom closer to home as she had some stomachache and I obliged. We also went to buy food and I told my mom about some potential solutions with my school situation as well. It went well and we sat at home with my niece and my brother at hand. My dog also continued hurting from her neck but she was all right after giving her a bit of a massage. As the night went on, I was told by my brother that he was going to our friend’s house to play call of duty and this is me on the day to go catch up with my brother. We also picked up one of our other buddies and it was cool seeing that guy because he’s a pretty cool guy in terms of knowing his sports stuff. I sat there talking at our friend’s house to my buddy’s girlfriend as she seems a bit strange but all she is doing is being cordial. As the picture symbolizes the road takes you places and it did this night as we all did our thing as I counted some numbers in my head for my IPOD touch music on some notebook paper.

Day #47 7/25/11: Triumph for a moment…

I finally headed to De Anza to get my answer on taking my math class and this time the wait wasn’t as long as I waited for less than an hour and the counselor was very cordial and she gave me the run down on what I should do as the end seemed in sight. I felt proud on what she told me the deal was at that time and she also suggested that I contact the instructor to my class that I want to apply for as I would potentially be missing the first week and it would be possible to at least give it a shot. The most I could end up doing was signing up for Mission College and possibly looking into contacting the instructor to see if he would let me do the actions that I have spoken of. This picture suggests when I was studying for my art final with my friend and sitting here taking this picture gave me flashbacks to that time and it felt good at that moment to think back.

Otherwise a quick recap of the day:

Triumphed for once at De Anza

Talked to my mom about what was up with my current situation.

Made some lunch for the day and also took something to work as well.

Had a great day with an old friend of mine at work

Otherwise a great day for conversation too!

Day #46 7/24/11: Hanson and a strange leader is amongst us…

Quick recap of the day:

Finally got this awesome Hanson CD and it was pretty good even after several listens, almost every track is good except for “Can’t Stop”. Melodies and songs about life and love.

Watched Impact wrestling with the brother and my niece.

Had a good close with my good pal Silva as we had a grand old time. We also had some candid comments about a new shift leader that has joined the machine as she has some strange tendencies.

And of course what’s a night without the gym!

Day #45 7/23/11: I won’t be a puppet…

For some odd reason on the way to work out of drive way I spotted this car which was unique in the way it was built and I also saw it when I was taking my dog walking. I started the day watching the movie “Higher Learning” which starred Ice Cube, Lawrence Fishburne, Omar Epps, and Tyra Banks and it made me ask questions about myself and those around me. I didn’t have much time for anything as I had to work later that day early as I did a full shift at work and it was pretty intense in terms of workload. I had chats with everybody at work and they all seemed pretty down or pretty upbeat but nonetheless it was a day that I said to myself that I want to be myself so instead of going home, I went to the gym to work off some extra work and afterwards I stayed up watching some horrible Oakland A’s highlights. Good day!

Day #44 7/22/11: Ace in the hole…

So, after my reign of sucking ended the day was pretty awesome as me and my dad went to walmart in Mountain View as he wanted a netbook which was on sale at Walmart for a decent price. He suggested we go based on the fact that he wanted to learn how to use a notebook and I agreed he should learn. I also ended up getting some shoes for my coming with him which was great since my older ones were starting to show wear and tear. I browsed around the books section to find an interesting book titled “los senores del narco” which is about the famous Chapo Guzman. As my dad was buying the netbook, he was also interested in buying a card from Walmart which he wanted to use to get the netbook. He did so and everything went smoothly. The acer was now in our grasp and it felt good for the most part. Later on, I went to work hoping to talk to my friend at work and we did just that talking about movies, music, life, and also some current projects he has on the horizon. He changes his mind quite a bit but I think that is a good thing for him as he seems like someone that is very creative. All in all, my big comeback worked!

Day #43 7/21/11: Stories of a 3 day downfall pt.3…Victory sorta

Tell me about the beginning of this day and I can tell you it started off pretty horrible as I got up around 9:30 to go to school to find out why I had not been added to my class as the girl I talked to told me if I wasn’t added I should come back which I did. My brother showed up as well and we went over to De Anza to sort this issue out which by all intents and purposes was the smart thing to do as I couldn’t really risk wasting gas. I went to admissions hoping it was just a big mix up but it went back up in my face as they told me I couldn’t repeat the course which I found stupid as they told me I could but all they told me was that “that was what my supervisor told me” which was a dumb answer all together. Can you imagine if you walked into a retail store and some kid told you that they couldn’t help you to find what you wanted because “that was what my supervisor told me”. So, being me I told them “you guys suck” and I vowed to actually get a clear answer instead of giving up which seemed like the easy way out. I went home a bit upset but I took a nap to calm down and it was relaxing to say the least and we waited until about 2 to buy my charger for my IPOD and my brother also bought my niece some wipes and my dad also bought some stuff as well. The rest of the day was pretty fun as me and my friend at work breezed through a pretty decent close and we talked about some recent news in sports as well.

Day #42 7/20/11: Stories of a 3 day downfall pt.2…

Yeah, I went on another Wednesday escapade to the movies but the day turned into weirdness as I went to the library as I couldn’t find parking at the library and I couldn’t find it till I got underground part. But, getting there I felt strange being there knowing that I had a time limit as my mom wanted me to pick her up by Kiely and Homestead but I misread that I had not said at Homestead and instead she got off on stevens creek. I was upset that once I got home my brother told me that the internet charging cable was no good and it could set off a fire on the carpet as it was now exposed which we couldn’t risk. I sat there thinking now I really have no technology which sucked since my IPOD was almost out of battery. So, going to see Transformers was all shits and giggles and it was a silver lining nonetheless as I sat there thinking… How could it get any worse? I fell asleep early as the day was exhausting. Only a few more challenges laid ahead…
