Day #206 1/1/12: Hell of a season…

A picture of the end of the NFL season and essentially the final game of the afternoon portion of games in the 2011 season of the NFL.  It was a great season captivated by great victories, crummy losses, broken records, and great runs by teams. I can say it was aided by the fact that many teams are showing a lot more variety than before and it allows for fans to be captivated by the different teams in the league. Hopefully, this translates in more TV ratings being broken and the game reaching bigger and better heights than before. The picture was during the end of the Cardinals and Seahawks game where Larry Fitzgerald caught a heck of a pass around the 30 yard line and the Cardinals kicked a game winning field goal to send the fans home happy. But, it wasn’t all fun in the bay area as the Oakland Raiders once again blew the chance to be in the playoffs for the first time in almost ten years as they were outclassed and outgained by the San Diego Chargers. They have to be given their due though because the Raiders looked horrible and they looked like garbage trying to look like a playoff team. (Equal author’s note: The idea that the Raiders hired a GM and fired their coach almost ten days later was not related to this in anyway because if you have a coach calling out his team, you have a sneaking suspicion.)

Day #154 11/10/11: Good luck guy…

A picture taken right before I was getting ready to leave for work. I am hardly ever up this early and when I am my day goes by so much faster as opposed to when I work at night my day goes by very slow. Not that it is a bad thing but having to work at night is much more convenient because A) there is many more options for things to get done and in the evening everything goes by much faster. My day at work was pretty awesome as I worked on some petty projects and I also continued my quest to cheer up my buddy Silvia as he seemed pretty down on some stuff that had happened recently. After work, I sat in my car and watched a good Ricky Steamboat/ Brian Pillman match and after picked up my mom. But, the fun of the night came when I went over to my buddy’s house with my brother and we watched the Raiders/Chargers game which was quite a sight watching it with friends. I watched with drama and intent as the game closed with a 17-7 halftime lead for my team the Raiders. The Raiders, however did not let up after the Chargers scored 14 in the second half but we held up to win. The only problem was, with a Raiders victory, comes a drunk brother who was being very rude and crude and I handled him the best I could. I got upset with him very quickly after he had broken something in our new car and I couldn’t believe that on top of all this I had to work at 6 in the morning the next day. I told him to go home and I helped him all I could. After all this, my friend told me via text message that I was the good luck charm, though he was drunk too so yay!

Day #136 10/23/11: Just win baby…

Pretty crazy day at work and at home as the Raiders ended up losing to the K.C. Chiefs 28-0 and the way my fantasy football was getting there ass handed to them made me think…a little music is always the best therapy. At work, the business of the big red machine boomed as it was the first day of our ad and people bought crazy amounts of food. Nothing much to the day except I noticed that people in any job end up choosing sides one way or another.

Day #96 9/12/11: Damnit, the Raiders have no integrity…

I took this picture to remind that the Raiders actually had a chance to win this day and at this point of the game they were leading 10-3 here and they wouldn’t look back as they were looking to win by a score of 23-20. I also talked to my good friend Ricky in the afternoon period where we discussed some more of what we had already discussed the week before and we really enjoyed the conversation as it may never seem dull or boring. The Raiders won and I saw my friend Silvia once again as we discussed matters at work.
