It was a day of transition as I went to Mission to make sure my pre-req was passed for the spring session and I met up with my good friend Ricky as we discussed life, complications, people we’ve encountered in life, and our future plans. In the wee hours of the morning, I of course said goodbye to my friend Gump and I reminded myself that it was good that I said goodbye to him as I pride myself by not being on Facebook. In the afternoon, I went to grab some food for me and my mom at Chavez Supermarket as she looked exhausted from work and I of course took the initiative to make sure we were well fed. That night from work went by very fast as I had a short shift and I just sort of breezed by it as I knew it wasn’t that big of a deal anyway. All in all, a day of change and quickness.

Day #22 6/30/11: The wonderful wonderful tour of carts…
Pretty fun filled day as I got to start the day off by walking my dog for a pretty lengthy walk and I also informed my dad that I had to go to the library so I could drop my books off including the excellent book Foley is Good. I finished it two nights before and now I am even more curious as to how much wrestling has changed with me hopefully purchasing Chris Jericho’s latest book Undisputed soon. We headed out to sell our recycled bottles first though and we got some pretty good change for that and eventually we headed to the library where I picked up a book that I’m interested in that has to do with psychology and the enneagram. I was excited because I also picked up cd’s by Jay-Z and the famous rock band R.E.M to complete my 2000th song on my IPOD and I can only hope that it all sounds good when I try to get through all my songs on the IPOD. After that we headed out to Costco where we bought food and drinks for the house and I was surprised at how busy it was as the lines were pretty busy for a Thursday and I took this picture to represent just how much of a business food brings in. The rest of the day I was preparing for work and also started reading my book as well. Work wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either as I talked with some old friends
Day #20 6/28/11: The council has spoken…
This day was filled with a lot of adventure having to do with picking up my glasses and also having a chat with my mom about the crazy past few days. The day started off with me having to figure out what I was going to do that afternoon. I decided to head out to target to buy some stuff including milk and bread. I was a bit happy because usually the products here are a bit cheaper than usual and also add in the fact that I can buy what I want when I have money. When I didn’t have money, I had little or no ability to be able to buy what I wanted and now I’m able to buy my resources whenever I want. This day was also special because I once again got to do some cooking at home which I have very little opportunity to do so now that I work a whole lot more now. Cooking with my mom made me realize that picking up on small things such as learning to do laundry or cooking can lead to better things down the line and I also noticed that it can make me a happier person as well. I won’t have to rely constantly on others to do things for you and it may be beneficial for me as I continue to grow my home skills. I also was able to go and pick up my glasses in the rain which wasn’t fun because of how crazy the weather was but I made the most of it as I finally am able to have new glasses after my current ones were not cutting it after 3 years of service. Here I am hanging out my brother and his buddies as they play Call of Duty: Black Ops and even though I spent the good portion of the night finishing Foley is Good, I was able to see why they love the game so much. It gave them prowess, pride, and happiness as they won team deathmatch. Either way, I enjoyed my time there as I got to see that they enjoy each other’s company in the long run. A good day for sure!
Day #4 6/12/11: Menudo It’s the whole cow…
I remember growing up thinking this had to be the worst thing ever invented but now that I’m older I’ve realized that this is not that bad because it is actually getting good fat and actually used as a good way to wake you up. The day before my dad at Chavez had gotten this dish but we decided we would eat it the next day instead of actually going through it at once. Eating with another person is quite special because you get to discuss what has gone on in your day or you may even talk about what you want to do that day with you parent or whomever you may be having food with. I know that on several occasions I have had the opportunity to talk with my dad or mom about some of the things in my life and talk about what they mean to me. Many times over the years, I have seen my conversations with my friends evolve from almost a small sample size to something even bigger. Talking with someone about your favorite sports, your day, your life, and even anything else can be comforting and almost soothing to the soul. I know talking to my dad is quite comforting and relaxing because of how close we are to each other. This day was a bit stressful because I had to finish a paper on high school dropouts and I also had to deal with a wine specialist and let’s face it, wine is not my best subject but hey at least I tried.
