Day #159 11/15/11: Welcome to wherever you are…

I had a pretty exciting day as I didn’t expect to have such great day with my pal Ricky as we had some Little Cesars and we had some basic life conversations and we also discussed doing a few movie clips for our book idea before we do the actual book. I found this to be a great pre cursor to what was to come in the near future and we should expand on it first before we actually get our feet wet with an actual book. After we walked around the mall, I headed home and dealt with the niece and tried to keep her in check as she went crazy playing with Kiko and also she demanded that we put on Tv for her and she also wanted someone to give her all the hats on the wall. Otherwise, great night finishing up with a fine workout at the gym.

Day #158 11/14/11: A low down dirty shame…

A picture taken after I went to buy food at Lucky’s as I was sitting in my car thinking about the very 90’s the film “A low down dirty shame”. I am a big fan of the early Wayans family films as they have very good humor and good plot lines. As I was sitting in my bed watching the movie, they called me from work and asked me if I could come in at 4 which was nearly impossible at 3:45. The film was keen for it’s twists and turns but it also examined the world of drugs and also the way money flows as well. Otherwise an entertaining day where I relaxed watching some TV and at night time I got down to doing some work which was a hoot but eh whatever.

Day #157 11/13/11: The last stand…

Nothing too eventful to the day except the fact that I finished up two of the books that I had which had to do with Math and resumes. I took this picture to remind myself that on Sundays families usually go off and go to church. I am not usually of this train of thought to go and I believe in a higher power but I don’t think you should pump money into religion as it should welcome all. At the end of the night it was pretty calm at the big red machine as I had a good chat with my buddy from the Marines and we started planning something within the next week for a pal that is leaving the Machine soon.

Day #156 11/12/11: Big time…

It just so happens that this day the black friday schedule was posted and I was so happy when I saw that I work a basic 9-5 shift. This makes me very up beat and it should give me some time to go out and see if there are any good deals on cheap dvd’s or anything else. Otherwise, a day where I gave my dog a bath and at work everything seemed to be getting back to normal (for real this time though). (“Vintage” author’s note: My buddy is back from Hawaii and I am assuming he is hear to stay as I heard from my buddy at work that he did not like it all over there.)

Day #155 11/11/11: Challenger for an immortal…

After the craziness, I woke up at 4:40 in the morning to get ready for work as I had to take my mom as well to work as it made no sense for my mom to have my dad take her while I just went by myself. Morning jitters aside, I got to work positive and upbeat as this is the day we usually get our truck delivery. I ended up calling our provider and they got there at 8 in the morning and this took the rest of my morning away. After work, did a little workout at the gym and went home to prepare for a night of fun and laughter. At night me and mom went to Walmart, macy’s, and the movies as we hadn’t done this in a while and while I take time off from school it is good for my psyche to get out there and have some fun. At Walmart, my mom expressed to me that she wanted to buy me a PS3 for Christmas and to do this she wanted to put it on layaway. We did this real quick and after we headed off to the movies and saw Tower Heist. I’m a big fan of Eddie Murphy and also Casey Affleck and they both did a very good job in the movie portraying the small man against society role. Overall, a good atmosphere with a good crowd on hand as most of the audience seemed to be enjoying themselves at the show. But the line fr the movie Immortals was insane and I am not very into those movies because they seem like big time Hollywood productions and I just laughed at the fact that people go so crazy for a first night release.  At night, I feel asleep rather quickly and I woke up in the morning at around 4 to see myself still in my regular clothes.

Day #154 11/10/11: Good luck guy…

A picture taken right before I was getting ready to leave for work. I am hardly ever up this early and when I am my day goes by so much faster as opposed to when I work at night my day goes by very slow. Not that it is a bad thing but having to work at night is much more convenient because A) there is many more options for things to get done and in the evening everything goes by much faster. My day at work was pretty awesome as I worked on some petty projects and I also continued my quest to cheer up my buddy Silvia as he seemed pretty down on some stuff that had happened recently. After work, I sat in my car and watched a good Ricky Steamboat/ Brian Pillman match and after picked up my mom. But, the fun of the night came when I went over to my buddy’s house with my brother and we watched the Raiders/Chargers game which was quite a sight watching it with friends. I watched with drama and intent as the game closed with a 17-7 halftime lead for my team the Raiders. The Raiders, however did not let up after the Chargers scored 14 in the second half but we held up to win. The only problem was, with a Raiders victory, comes a drunk brother who was being very rude and crude and I handled him the best I could. I got upset with him very quickly after he had broken something in our new car and I couldn’t believe that on top of all this I had to work at 6 in the morning the next day. I told him to go home and I helped him all I could. After all this, my friend told me via text message that I was the good luck charm, though he was drunk too so yay!

Day #153 11/9/11: They became the dinosaurs…

A picture of Rasputins music and honestly this picture makes me a little sad because I had gone out this day to buy stuff for me (shaving cream and other food items) but I stopped by to see if they had a CD by Outkast and they did have it. The only problem being, they announced on their doors, going out of business 10% off of everything. I have a lot of memories coming here with family and friends alike and it is very sad to see it go. I am very into buying the whole album instead of just buying the song itself. The days when you would wait for a CD to come out are pretty much dead and I remember when cassettes were being phased out I felt the tone was different because they were almost the same entity. Everything is so compact now that it is virtually impossible not to like it so to that I say if you like it that way, no hard feelings towards you. Either way, a sad day for me and some music lovers alike.

Day #152 11/8/11: I can’t stay man…

A great day indeed where me and my good friend met up and had a good discussion about life. Mondo Burrito was very good and it was probably the best burrito I’ve had in years as it had a certain taste to it that is missing from some places. Me and my friend were pretty burnt out from just sitting down so we walked around Santa Clara shooting on life and church. He had some interesting takes and I did as well which makes our friendship that much better in the end. After that epic walk, he told me about his job and an interesting co-worker he has that complains about his job but everyone just tells him to relax but he just gets very uptight which makes me laugh ever so harder as I take my job seriously as well but I don’t do it as much as most people do. The night ended with my mom learning how to drive which is a struggle for her but she tries her best as she has almost a year to take her driven test which I think she should do fine in. She also ended up taking care of my crazy niece with my brother hardly paying attention but it was all worth it.

Day #151 11/7/11: Top of our game…

I remember this day I talked to my friend Ricky at about 12 noon and it was great to talk to the guy after we hadn’t talked for a while. Afterwards, I came very close to finishing my algebra book and even though I didn’t finish it, I finished watching my block of adult cartoons which were decent and it is pretty much the only TV I ever watch. The night ended on a good note when me and old buddy Silvia rocked the big red machine with a term we like call that we were at the top of our game and we did just that. I felt very positive after the night because one of our bosses was working that night and I just sat outside reminiscing about the old days where most of us would hang afterwards. What a night indeed.

Day #150 11/6/11: The exits…

A pretty interesting day at home and at work where I continued finishing up my algebra book and at work where me and my co-worker had a fun close where we finished everything.  The reason I took this picture was that no matter how bad things may get in life, there is a way out for everything and an exit strategy as well.
