It was unreal as to how awful of a start the Ravens and Patriots game got off to but that’s how it was as that game and the NFC championship game was abuzz in the bay. Not really much to the day except some frustration at work over a silly bin and some fillings around big red.
Day #226 1/21/12: Hanging in there?…
Day #225 1/20/12: It’s kinda a funny story…
Day #224 1/19/12: 2/3’s of my trifecta of my former schools…
The path towards my former elementary school, Vargas, in Sunnyvale and I remember every morning my mom would walk me to school at 7:45 and she would get off at this corner and say “may God take care of you” and I have many memories at this school as evidenced by a blog post a while back about elementary school. The day was entailed by me picking up my brother and his daughter as my brother’s car had some issues and we got that fixed soon after. I also continued to read some more books as I prepared to get back to school.
Day #223 1/18/12: 7 missed calls…
A while ago I went here with two of my co-workers and it was almost two years ago that I came here. I remember the night vividly as I was having a falling out with my friend and someone I considered to be my best friend for that time. I have grown accustomed to growing up in whatever time it may be whether it be in your teens, late teens, or even in my 20’s and people changing while you as a person stay, more or less, the same. I was taken aback by the fact that he called me 7 times and I didn’t answer once as I saw that my other co-worker was very drunk and he kept saying that they would laugh at him if he was to show up at the denny’s that we were going to that night. I made the conscious decision to take him to get some food and not embarrass him that night. Once I got on the road I called him and he told me F*** you which surprised me very much and that was the end of the night. Apparently that was a test according to him and I decided it was best to break it off with the guy gradually before things had gotten worse than they were already. Otherwise, the day was filled with reflection and fun times with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while.
Day #222 1/17/12: Time to get in because water is coming…
Day #221 1/16/12: He got over like 20 million dollars…
And then he got over like a 100 million dollars. I happened to re listen to an interview done with former wrestler turned credit counselor Lanny Poffo, who is the brother of the now deceased Randy Savage. What an interview it was as I had listened to it before but I hadn’t listened to it closely enough 4 years beforehand. I believe he really critiques himself more so than he does his peers. He also makes me feel much more positive because he has a great quote of having a bottom to his bucket but most people don’t in terms of having and saving money. It was almost four hours long and it was well worth the listen as he not only talks about wrestling but also about life. I should probably listen to this interview every 4 years now because I am a much different person than I was around that time and I would like to see how different things are in 4 more years. Otherwise a very quality day!
Day #220 1/15/12: Plan like you’re gonna live 100 years…
A fun day spent walking my dog on a small trail by Tasman Crossing and this is one of my favorite pictures from my 365 collection so far. After this, I went home and watched some football where the NY Giants surprised a few skeptics by beating the Packers in what was not even a close game as the Giants had the poise and the Packers’ defense looked outclassed from the beginning. As the night went on, I had a bit of food to myself as I waited for a fun night of work to start which it was as my buddy and I rocked our department well enough for the night as there was some issues to be worked out. A fun night and a fun day!
Day #219 1/14/12: Studying but watching football…
Day #218 1/13/12: Micky Foley’s trifecta…
I started reading Mick Foley’s third book called the “Hardcore Diaries” which is a very interesting dwelling into his journey back into wrestling. Sometimes the journey is the fun part as we hardly ever look back at the aches and pains that brought us to the dance. I also continued/started my last reading of some math that I need a refresher of in terms of getting ready for my math class. The night ended with me smelling like rotten milk and also hearing a funny story from a co-worker.
